Greetings,
When I have an open ssh connection, and I select some text and CTRL+C, it copies the text but it also sends a output to the shell, and I get a new line. This can be a problem when I run a script, which produces some output then waits for input. I want to copy the output, do something with it, then continue the script. When I hit CTRL+C it exits the script. So it's impossible to copy anything from the terminal when the if it's waiting for input.
This isn't specifically an RDM thing, but I was wondering if there were a setting anywhere to change this behavior.
Client is Win 8.1 running latest RDM, connection is SSH Shell (Rebex). The server I'm connecting to is Ubuntu 16.04.
Anyone have any solutions for this?
Thanks!
Joe
Hello,
For the Rebex terminal, the copying happens when you select text in the terminal. You shouldn't need to press CTRL+C to copy the text. I don't think this behavior is possible to change as this is a third party and we don't have access to much more that isn't already in the entry's options.
The behavior is the same in the native SSH terminal, where selecting text copies it to the clipboard. It's possible we could add something to make this behavior optional but we'd have to check.

Wow, I actually did not know that. I have been unnecessarily hitting ctrl+c for years!
Thanks for setting me straight, that's super helpful. No need to change anything, it's working great.
Thanks a ton for the help!
Best regards,
Joe
