RMD Jump Autoselect

Question about deploying a Jump server.
Is there any way to setup RDM to automatically use a Jump server only when it cannot directly connect to the session?

What I am wanting to do is leave everyone's internal sessions alone but configure RDM to use the Jump server when someone has taken their laptop out of the office. We are looking at this Jump server as a possible replacement for VPN for staff that only need to use RDM remotely. Inside RDM we have a mix of Windows RDP, Linux SSH and webpages configured.

Anyone try this or have a different solution to allow for "seamless" access between secured in network and out of office scenarios?

Thanks,

Andy

Here is how I would set this up. Note there are multiple ways to the same thing. It all depends on how your sessions are grouped and how you want to work. These steps are an example and a starting point.

- create a Jump Host session, RDP session to the Jump server
- create a folder at the root of your tree view
- configure the groups' VPN

and

- now move the sessions you want/need Jump to work into this folder
- select them all, right click > Edit >Batch Edit > Edit Sessions (General settings) > Select VPN > Set VPN to Inherited

Now if you try connecting within the network it will connect directly but if you are outside the network the sessions will jump via the Jump Server.
