RDM crashes on launch when fetching connections from S3 bucket

Hi There,

I have encountered a problem recently with my installation of RDM. Whenever I try to start the application, it crashes with the following error:

NullReferenceException - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Currently, I have RDM configured to pick up my list of connections from an S3 bucket up on AWS.

So far I have tried reinstalling RDM, however I keep getting the same error. Other members of my team are using the tool with the same bucket and configuration, so I know there isnt an issue with connecting to the bucket itself, but with my installation.

Could someone give me the instructions on how to completely remove RDM from my machine so that I can perform a clean installation?

I have the Enterprise version installed with updates until October this year.

Cheers,

Rafa

Hi,

What version of RDM are you running? Also we made changes last month concerning S3 data source that might fix your issue. You can either try out our beta version for it or wait for the next version which will be released soon.

I tried using the beta version, I dont get the same error message any more - but RDM no longer loads in my connections list even though it is configured to do so.

Can someone just post the instructions on how to completely remove it from my system so I can do a clean installation please?

Hi,

Can you please send us the new logs so we can look into this issue.
Also if you want to clean install RDM you can take a look at our online help. Here's the page about uninstalling RDM
