"Warn if already opened" prompt shows Username as Connected user
For all of our RDP connections, we use the setting Logs > "Warn if already opened". Included on the General tab of this prompt are Username and Connected user. These two fields are always the same for us.
Our assumption - at least based on the information shown in the Logs tab - is "Username" is the RDM session username and "Connected user" is the Windows account logged into the RDP session. We only ever see Username in both of these fields.
Hopefully this makes sense, but let me know if there's any other information I can provide.
Thanks!
Hello,
Glad that you are posting Tim, because our engineering department has modified the display of the users in that Warn if already opened window.
This should be available in the next release of RDM.
Let me know your thoughts when the new release will be available.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
So this update will show the Windows RDP session username on the main prompt window / General tab?
Hello,
The field "Connected User" has been renamed to "Data Source Username".
The field "Connection username" has been added and this field will indicate the username that has been used to establish the RDP connection.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Excellent! I'll keep an eye out for this change in the next update.
Thanks!
