We currently have a ‘perfect’ folder which gets copied for all new clients as engineers on-board them.
This means giving all my engineers import / export rights which at one time wasn’t too bad but now we have a good number of engineers and 3000+ entries in RDM, it’s a real security risk for us.
Can we get that functionality without having to give everyone import and export rights.
Thanks
Hi,
Why not use the Group template instead of your folder?

Hi David,
I don't believe I can set a group template up to have all the sub groups and connections as required. I have read through https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/index.html?file_templates.htm however I don't see anything in there that helps me created the folder structure I need. Is there somewhere else I can look ?
Thanks
Hi,
It's the menu Save as Template that you can use when you select a folder with the required sub connections:
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/context_add.htm?zoom_highlightsub=%22Save+as+template%22
I will ask our documentation team to improve the topic about the Group Template.

Thanks David,
I understand now. I had been messing around try to export to file and then re-import into the template dialogue. For anyone else :
Then when deploying do "Add New Entry" and choose that template from the list.
For sure please update the documentation but great product, saves us so much time.
