Hey guys,
I'm just giving this software a go and have imported my connections from RDCMan, when I set a permission on a group/folder the RDP sessions below it still have a static, unique credential? How do I go about getting them to inherit the permission from the folder above? I can't find out how from the manual or searching around the forum.
Also slight other thing, is it possible to get the putty session window to be more seemless? When I connect to a putty session I see the putty window within the tabbed window. When I connect to a serial session I just see a seemless black box, it looks much neater :)
Hello,
For your first issue, what version of RDM are you using?
For your second issue, could you please attach some screen shots depicting the behavior?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
I've just fixed my second query by enabling "Full Screen" under Advanced on the SSH connection :)
Still finding it difficult to inherit permissions down to RDP connections.
I'm using 3.5.5.0
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
I see that you are using the Free Edition of RDM.
Unfortunately, Inheritance is not available with the Free Edition. This is why you cannot set your RDP sessions to inherit credentials from the parent container.

Ah ok, thanks :)
I just paid for the enterprise version, will the installer upgrade me from the free one?
Hello,
The Enterprise and Free editions are both separate installations and the license key you purchased will only work on the Enterprise client.
Since you want to migrate from the Free to the Enterprise edition, we have this article to help you migrate everything;

When everything has been migrated successfully, you can uninstall the Free Edition.
