Possible broken RDM Powershell session?

Possible broken RDM Powershell session?

avatar

After upgrading to RDM Enterprise 12.5.4.0 (Windows 10 Enterprise, Creators Update Build 1703), my Powershell session in RDM seems to be broken?

when I scroll, the session seems to duplicate lines and even when running a long command, it will fill the screen (and the resize is incorrect.. I know I had opened a post about that a long time ago :-) ) when it hits the bottom of the screen, it fills the screen with duplicated partial lines (the output is actually correct.. I can capture it to a file or the clipboard) but the GUI display is bad.

And when I try to import the RDM module outside of the RDM tool, I get an error saying it is only supported in the enterprise edition.

Hello,

About the issue that it is only supported in the Enterprise edition, have you tried to open PowerShell as an administrator and load the module?

On these two threads on the forum, to resolve the issue was to open PowerShell ISE as an administrator.

And with RDM, could you please try to enable the Run as Administrator option in the PowerShell session properties?

I definitely had my powershell session loaded as Administrator..

I will try it with the session properties...

Thanks!

I'm not sure where I would do that for the Powershell (RDM Cmdlet) button on the ribbon? But I ran all of RDM as administrator, and it did not make a difference.. I still get the output display corruption.. I'm including a screenshot here where I blanked out the sensitive data.. I erased it, and then covered it with the orange X's.. but you can see in the picture that effectively the same entry gets repeated graphically over & over again on the display, and there is no way to use it at this point..

I retried the module import in Powershell.. but I did track down the issue.. normally, I use 2 powershell windows, 1 for my regular account and one for my domain administrator account. When I did the import with my regular account (that my desktop is running under) it works, but when I used my Domain Admin account, that is when I got the message about it only being available in the Enterprise Edition.

The external session (where the module import worked properly) does not show the same graphical bug that the embedded Powershel (RDM Cmdlet) session does..

Thank you again,

David F.
