Hi,
Im looking to replace my usage of putty a little bit with the SSH shell.
One thing I like to do is separate my logs by date, however I don't see any session variables holding a readable date/time string.
How can i get it so that my logs look for example like this:
192.168.1.1-20130326083620-putty.log
Thanks,
D
Hi,
This is a good idea. Do you need the seconds?

Hi,
This is now in this version

Just tested. Works great.
Thanks for your quick turnaround.
I'm always looking for new variables to add. So if you have others, let me know

This is the variable string I would like to use in "Recording" - "Specific file name"(it sounds better if it would said: "Specify filename"):
"Logs\$NAME$_$HOST_WITH_PORT$_$APPLICATION_USER$.log"
This way we would all get our own log file under the "Logs" folder where RDM was started from.
(But I have to ask; Why not just make the same variables available that you can use in a rdp session?)
For the future updates, it would be best if one could write: "$SQL_DB_LOG$\$NAME$_$HOST_WITH_PORT$_$APPLICATION_USER$.log" or something similar. Point being, the logs should be saved inside the SQL as files read access should be controlled from inside RDM, as they could contain plain text passwords and other very important information, but invaluable debugging info if someone screws up :)
Thank you.

Hi,
I have entered a feature request for the automatic log saving. This is not simple but it's a good idea. We will need to add a mechanism to track and save the logs.
Thank you
