Hi,
paid Enterprise version of RDM 12.5.0.0
I want to create a credential for local administrator.
I create an entry with username administrator and password 123 and domain empty
but when i select this from the drop down menu and then open the connection i get the pop up of windows username and password
I tried to add the username with .\administrator but again same thing happens.
what am i missing ?
thank you,
Vassilis

Hi,
Could you post a print screen of the dropdown you are talking about? Also, what type of connection do you try to open?
Regards

normal RDP connection, see below
If i enter the password on the popup it connects successfully
If i change the credential repository from .\administrator to just administrator it just doesn't work at all. I get the same popup but when i enter the password it doesn't connect
thanks for the prompt reply David

Hi Vassilis,
following should work: you have to edit on the connection the "Override Domain" field - the credential entry need no specified setting - see attached :)

Min, if i change the RDP connection setting of advanced=>override domain=>use hostname, the connection open fines but i want this at more "TOP" level. Isnt it possible to have this on the Credential properties entry so that i can change the credential entry of a RDP and connect without having to make an additional step of changing the override domain on RDP host

If you had many Hosts you can use the "Batch Actions" ..a other way is is not known to me.. May you can ask David for a feature request for this :)

Min
Yeah Min, this is what i did, used the batch edit and changed the settings and updated my templates as well, so i guess all good :)
thanks min
