Using the latest Standard Edition on XP SP2, the embedded rdp session doesn't show up. I recently upgraded to RDP 6.1 and have made no other changes. Initially, after installing RDM, everything worked great. 2 days later, the embedded session doesn't show up and at times, I suddenly can't type in notepad or anything else. Re-starting RDM initially fixes the typing issue but not the embedded one. If I open the session as a separate window it opens fine.
Hi,
can you check if there is a log entry in the application log, it's located in the menu Help->Application log. I never go this problem. I know that Windows XP SP3 contains the RDP client 6.1.
Let me know please

Hi,
Are you sure that the RDP 6.1 is installed ? Because you I see a COMException with the message "Class not registered" Usually it's because the RDP client 6.1 is not installed.
Is it this one that you installed:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952155
The other possibility is is to install XP SP3.
