I have a mac RDM version 4.2.1.0. Sierra 10.12.3
ssh session freeze when connection with host is lost. Cant you fix it? One of the solutions might be some pop-up window or just close session?
Hi,
I have assigned this to our dev for investigation.

Hi,
When you say SSH Session do you mean the SSH Shell session? The iTerm Session?

I meant SSH Shell session
Hi,
I do reproduce your issue, but I'm not sure we could do much. If you try the same thing with the Terminal.app, you will get the same behavior. I'm pretty sure when it freezes, it just await the connection to be available again, and then send previously entered command.
It appears to be on purpose.

Maybe this is because I'm using Online Drive?
Hi,
This shouldn't have an impact. Once a session is started, the connection to the data source itself is not even required anymore. So, as long as your session start successfully, it means that we have the right configuration provided by the data source and this is the extent of the impact the data source can have.
I think it would be more relevant to investigate why you're losing the connection to your host in the first place. Does it happens often?

Yes, you are right. It seems the RDM just wait for the session to be available again. But, why it waits so long? Maybe there's some settings, where I can set timeout for the SSH shell session. For example- if session is not available within 30 sec, the session will be broken.
It sometimes happens every day. Generally it related to Chinese servers, because latency is very high and packet loss appears.
Well, maybe there is a timeout and maybe it is changeable.
I'll investigate, but I can't promise anything.
Best regards,
