Can't log in: (407) Proxy Authentication Required
Hello,
just registered my free licence and tried to log in with my credentials.
This error shows up when trying to log in:

If you are behind a Proxy server, you would need to configure it inside RDM in File -> Options -> Proxy.

Is there another way other than the GUI to make the proxy modification? I cant get past the login due to the proxy error.

If you go in %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager (RemoteDesktopManagerFree if you are using the Free Edition) and edit the RemoteDesktopManager.cfg file, you will found a DefaultProxy section. The information related to your Proxy should be displayed in that section.

There is no default option called defaultproxy in the configuration file.
Can you post the correct syntax please?

If you don't fine this option, you may also try to rename your RemoteDesktopManager.cfg to RemoteDesktopManager.old.
Then, restart RDM and RDM will create a new .cfg file and should open without any settings. However, you would need to recreate your data source and re-add your license.

Any chance this can be set per datasouce? So that if we connect to entry in datasource X all our webconnections goes through Proxy 1, if we connect to entry in datasource Y all our webconnections is handled straight without a proxy.
Or better yet - per folder & Inherited downwards in the datasource (DVLS)

Unfortunately in .NET we can't change the Proxy for a specific call. It's global setting only.

I'm also having similar trouble to the users above.. I'm using client version 2019.1.9.0 64-bit.
I have altered the section in the .cfg file with my credentials for our proxy but i cannot get it to work.
If i select "use system proxy" i assume that means it'll pick up whatever proxy is set in our internet options.. Is this correct? Or does it only pick up a proxy set through netsh?
When selecting "system proxy" it then errors saying i must provide a username etc, well then why is the user/password fields grayed out? It's demanding information and not giving me a way to enter that information?
So I selected custom and entered our details, but I am still not having any luck.
One of my associates registered a free account some time ago and was provided a serial number for offline use with that account, so he's never had this trouble, but when I registered I wasn't provided a serial. Is it still possible to get an offline serial for the free version?

I think it's better to try changing proxy, here's a site where you can take a look at Figleaf. It's vpn proxy, very useful and works perfectly.
