JumpHost Terminal Server needed?

Hi,

i plan to implement the JumpHost functionality to give a developer team access to machines in Azure. My question is do i need a terminal Server Setup to have more then two simultaneous connections? And in general is this the right use case for JumpHost? Or it's better to use a RPD Gateway with terminal Server Setup in my case?

About a quick answer I would be very happy as I have quite time pressure.

thnx!! br / jakob

Couldn't you connect directly to your Azure machines via RDP? Jump is more for scenarios where you must have RDP within RDP. So I'm not sure a Jump Host is even required in this situation. If you can use RDP Gateway instead of RDP in RDP (with or without Jump) do use it.

As for terminal Server, you are required to have a session per user that is jumping. The TS licensing model must be respected.

We would usually use Jump in a scenario where all machines are behind a firewall and only a single machine is available through the firewall. You could connect to that machine then jump to any internal machine from there.

Another scenario would be when you have multiple remote environments with each requiring a different VPN setup/configuration. You could have virtual machines configured internally for each client and jump through those to get to the client's machines.
