Hi there
Assuming it's possible, how does one leverage the File Explorer connection to connect to a remote drive?
For example, I want to connect to \1.1.1.1\c$. This is what I've tried for settings so far:
1. General tab > Folder: \1.1.1.1\c$
2. Host and Credentials tab > Host: 1.1.1.1
3. Username / domain / password: a valid account with permission to that location
Opening the connection however simply opens the File Explorer tab to "my computer", not the remote path.
Ideally, I'd like to take this a step further and make this a sub-connection of all my RDP connections and use parent variables to define the settings above, but figured I'd try to first get the straightforward setup working first.
Any suggestions on what Im missing?
Thanks!
Hello,
In the Host and Credentials tab, if you leave the Host field empty, is it working?

Unfortunately it does not; same results.
Hello,
Do you have something relevant in Help -> View Application Log?

I'm not seeing anything show up when trying to create the new connection. I set debug to 32767, which looks to enable all options Is there something else I should do to try and get more info on this?
Hello,
There's nothing else that you can try to enable more logging.
Have you tried to map a network drive like \servername\public as example? Could you post a print screen of the results please.
