Connections.db size leak

I'm seeing Connections.db file sizes at varying sizes, mine is up to 56MB.
Deleting sessions does not reduce the size, in fact it seems to increase that size.
I worry this will just continue to grow to out-of-control sizes. Do you have some purge mechanisms / jobs to reduce the size ever?
