This should not be a problem. You can install .NET 4.6 and update to the latest version

We need to update our requirements by the way and include Windows 7.

I have a lock down computer, I can't update anything.

You can try RDM 12 (download the zip) and see if you get an error. I'm not sure if we really use a lot of features from .NET 4.6. We did the upgrade since it's now built-in in Windows 10 and Windows 2016
