Site vs Global License

avatar

We are looking to upgrade our Remote Desktop Manager license and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but wanted to verify before moving forward. All of our users are considered part of the central office but we have a lot of users that work from home both local as well as in other parts of the country. All accessing the corporate office through VPN. Do these remote employees require us to purchase the global license? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes since we currently have a global license but I wasn't involved with the purchase last time.

Hello,

The site license grants you the right to use Remote Desktop Manager for all your employees (unlimited users) for a single site (office).

The global license grants you the right to use Remote Desktop Manager for multiple offices across multiple sites (i.e. it can be used worldwide if you have multiple branches).

In your case, users working remotely for the same office, although some are in other parts of the country, will indeed need to use a global license.

Thank you Mark. That's what I figured.

You're welcome!

If your business expands to other countries, your global license will cover them.
