Hi,

-The install instruction point to the legacy browser extensions and not Devolutions Web Login. Both are still available to download.

Devolutions Web Login: https://devolutions.net/Home/BrowserExtensions

Legacy: https://devolutions.net/Home/BrowserExtensionsLegacy

We recommend you to use Devolutions Web Login, which is our new Browser extension that will replace the legacy ones.

We should update the online help for Devolutions Web Login soon.

-To install Firefox Devolutions Web Login:

1. Download the xpi file at https://devolutions.net/Home/BrowserExtensions by clicking on the arrow next to the Firefox Logo
2. Enter about:addons in the address bar in Firefox
3. Click on the Gear wheel
4. Click on Install Add-on From File...
5. Select the .xpi file you just downloaded

-The install instructions for the Edge extension are in the zip file but should be in the online help soon.

-We will add the option to only auto-fill the fields after a page load in a future Devolutions Web Login version.

What is interesting, in IE, when you hover over the download link, it says it is an xpi extension. When it downloads, it is saved as a zip file without notification. In Firefox it downloads ok.

Hi,

I also noticed that. It seems it's the way IE handles the MIME type and manages files when it doesn't recognize the file extension.

You just have to rename the .zip file to .xpi and it will work.

Revisiting this topic.

I have the latest extensions installed.
Firefox 4.0.3.0
IE 4.0.1.0
Edge 4.0.1.0

Both Edge and Firefox show as not installed in the Extensions Manager. IE shows installed.

I have followed the Edge instructions and it shows working inside of Edge. Same thing with FireFox.

Firefox edition I am using is the developer edition. It does install in a different path than the standard Firefox but has the same exe name. I have updated the paths in RDM and it shows that FF is installed and it does otherwise work normally except for the extension.

Before you suggest other options, I need to use our browsers externally because certain "sites" like SonicWALLs need to pop-up dialogs which do not work embedded.

Chrome is not an option, it is banned here due to its spying / data collection.

Hi,

Extension manager in RDM is looking if the extension files are at the default location.

For Firefox, it's "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\extensions\DWLFirefox@devolutions.net"

Do you have any issues when using Devolutions Web Login Firefox?

Do you get an error message?

IE works. I get a popup dialog with credentials to fill.

Edge and FireFox do not work. It does not auto-fill and if I r-click on the page and select fill login, there are no selections available.

Hi,

Do you have the same problem on every websites with Firefox and Edge?

Can you send us the websites that you have issues with? If it's a private website you can save the website and send the files in a private message.

You talked about SonicWall in your previous post, is your SonicWall similar to this one:

So yes, the sonicwall site is similar to your link. When you configure certain things it will popup a new window. In the embeded mode RDM loses the linkage between windows and you cannot save changes. That is why external mode is needed.

FreePBX is a separate issue. RDM will not recognize fields to fill. Roboform works fine.

As for RDM not knowing the FF extension is installed, the file is not in the profiles folder. I have un-installed FF and the extensions and re-installed and still no go. For Firefox, it's "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\extensions\DWLFirefox@devolutions.net"

I have found one of the issues with FireFox Developer. There is a FF option to allow Developer and regular FF to run at the same time. This creates separate profiles for the two versions of the app and RDM cannot locate the proper profile details to know the extension is installed.
