After update to new version Remote Desktop Manager does not honor my DPI settings any more
RDP was one of the few remote desktop apps that did honor my DPI/scaling settings on my 4K monitor. The same settings were used also for remote computers, so I could read everything without problems.
Now I did just a regular update (not upgrade to a new version) and all servers are shown with unreadable font size. Since I have hundreds of servers (and use no templates), how can i fix this fast? I cant do my work at the moment without an old 1080p monitor :(

My colleague, who forgot to warn me about it, also experienced that and has no solution so far and was hoping its only a problem on his PC.
I also tried to run as admin and set the display size to fixed values for a RDP connection, nothing works. And I need my 4k monitor for graphic works also....man, that update got me in trouble :(
Hello,
Could you try following https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/index.html?troubleshooting_hdpiscalingissues.htm
Maurice
After restoring an snapshot from my PC everything is ok now.
I have now 11.6.2.0 and DPI/font sizing is fine again.
Whats going on here and how can we prevent this when we upgrade again? Aso my colleague is stuck since he cant revert to a snapshopt (too long ago) and only restoring the program folder is not enough (must be a registry or %app% setting).
The first one fixed t for my colleague. So this setting got changed while upgrading, it seems?
Hi,
RDM 12 should not be worst than 11.6.2. Just make sure to verify the troubleshooting guide.

Hi,
Indeed the setting was changed because of an update in Windows 10 Anniversary. We had to reverse an option to make it works.
Sorry about that

This solution fixed my issues on my surface book (the first solution, didn't have to change app compatibility mode): https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/index.html?troubleshooting_hdpiscalingissues.htm
Thanks for posting the info.
I reached out to support when I first installed 12 and they couldn't help me. The version 12 of RDM was scaling all my RDP sessions to ridiculous resolutions. After no help I actually downgraded to a previous version that I know didn't have this problem.
Today I went back to the new version because I wanted to take advantage of some functionality but I was dreading have this problem. Thanks to that one checkbox I'm now good to go.
@Darien Allen,
Indeed, we have tried to help you through our support mailbox channel and I am sorry that we have not found earlier that you we're using a High DPI monitor.
Glad that is now working.
Thank you for your feedback.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
THANKS!.. I just got my surface and I was struggling with this issue.. lifesaver! .
