RDM not "clickable" / losing focus / no reaction

avatar

Hello,

RDM ist losing focus / does not react sometimes after a while.
Taskmanager says "everything ok", so the process does not hang, but
if i click anything in RDM, no clicks are recognized - I have to end the process
and start RDM again.

Anyone else has this issue?
It's not only me with the problem. My colleagues also have this issue.

RDM: Newest 64bit version (but older versions did show the same problem)
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 64 - 1611

Hi,
What data source do you use?

We use a MS SQL-Database as data source.

Could you try to remove the ping online method in the data source configuration?

Ping online had already the setting "None".

Hello,

RDM is not always connected to the SQL Server. RDM will communicate with the SQL Server and bring the information locally in a local cache. 3 types of local cache are available in RDM: SQLite, MCDF and MCDFv2.

That being said, I would like you to change your local cache to see if this help regarding your issue.

It's possible to change the offline cache engine in File -> Options -> Advanced via the Offline Engine option. Could you try set your local cache to SQLite to begin.

Best regards,

Jeff Dagenais

Hi,
change done. Feedback could take a few days, because the issue does not occur every day.

Thanks, regards

Well ... feedback took about 2 month,
but now I may clearly say: Solved, thank you.

Solution for me:
" change the offline cache engine in File -> Options -> Advanced via the Offline Engine option. Could you try set your local cache to SQLite to begin"
