VMware Remote Console not working

You need to install VMware PowerCLI. THe new version of RDM give you a better error message now.

Could you check the application logs in Help->View Application Logs?

Yes, checked, but it's empty. I've tried to open several connections and sessions, but the log is still empty........
Should we activate some kind of logging to get more output?

Hmmm, found the new 8.1 version. Will try that and send a new message in some minutes

Ok, 8.1 throws same error
"VMware Player is not installed properly on this system and cannot function. Please reinstall VMware Player."

Could you post the print screen of the error? I want to see if this message comes from RDM or from a VMware product.

This seems to be an error from VMware. We invoke vmware-vmrc.exe in command line with -h {hostname}. Could you try this in a Cmd window?

Ahhhh, ok.

For testing I invoked the related command, same result. So it's a VMware issue.

of course I have vsphere client 5.01 . also the remote is not working he ask me the path ???

Installed vSphere CLI 5.1, I pointed the vmware-vmrc to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VMware\VMware Remote Console Plug-in 5.1\Internet Explorer\...
When I want to connect to a VM with the "connect"-button, I get the following:
VMware Player is not installed properly on this system and cannot function.
Please reinstall VMware Player.
Also I don't know where I could change the setting of the standard location afterwards...
I have an ESXi 5.5 host. Can some help me with solving this...?
