Hello again.
I can be working away in RDMS and if I make a change to an entry, all of a sudden the whole directory tree of servers disappears. I have noticed that this normally occurs when I have been away from my PC for a while.
If I quit and relaunch the application, sometimes it comes back, other times I have to recreate the data source.
Any ideas?
does it also come back if you do a full refresh?
press refresh while holding CTRL
Kind Regards
Markus

What DVLS version do you use?

David Hervieux
No, a full refresh does not work.
We are on DVLS 4.0.7.0 and RDMS 12.0.8.0
It was working fine last night when I left work, but when I come in this morning, the connection list is gone again despite re-opening the program, so I have had to recreate the data source.
Hello,
Have you recently moved the SQL database from a server to another one? If yes, which method have you used, full backup+restore, SQL Export/Import wizard?
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
No. The SQL database has always been in the same location since installation.
Any ideas on this?
We have only just purchased DLVS and deployed to 120 end points. This problem is affecting multiple users and my manager is on my back
Not sure if you've asked aready but could you please send us your database schema.
On the DVLS machine, in RDM, running as Administrator go to:
Tools -> Devolutions Server Console -> select the server in the list -> Edit -> Database -> Email Schema to Support
Please add "Attn: Stefane" to the message body.
Thanks,
Stéfane Lavergne
Hi Stefane, I've just done this.
I also regularly get this error message from my local machine even though I am an administrator:
I just log in and make the changes from the DVLS server itself instead.
Hello,
About the Unable to save the entry error, do you get the Administrator privileges from a Role?
If yes, could you please check if the Use simplified security option box is enabled? Another customer got this issue and resolve it by unchecking the Use simplified security option box.
And next time you get the Unable to save the entry error, could you please check in Administration - Data Source Logs if there is something relevant about this error?
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
Thanks Erica, yes we get our admin from a role. I've ticked simplified security so will see how that goes and let you know.
