I have two Sessions set up, both using the same VPN connection, and both part of the same VPN group. When I'm only using one session at a time, it works as expected - The VPN automatically connects on launch, and disconnects on close. However, if I open both sessions, then close one, the VPN disconnects, killing my other session. My understanding of the VPN group is that it would prevent this. I've attached a screenshot of the VPN/SSH/Gateway settings. This is identical for both sessions.

Hello,
You are right, the VPN Group allow you to open multiple sessions under the same VPN and the last session that you close will disconnect the VPN.
That being said, could you open 2 sessions under the same VPN Group and click on View - Opened Sessions. In the dropdown list, select VPN Groups.
Are you seeing 2 opened connections for your VPN Group?
Please note that the VPN Group are case sensitive, so I recommend to create the VPN Group in your first session. For your other sessions, select the VPN Group from the dropdown list to select the appropriate one.

I do not see any entries under VPN Groups after opening both sessions. I can confirm that the VPN connection was created when I launched the first session.
Hello,
What version of RDM are you running?
I see that the VPN is configured to Inherited in your session. How your VPN is configured at the folder level?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
RDM 3.0.6.0
The folder has the same settings as in the screenshot:
Open: Always connect
Close: On session close
VPN group: VPNGroup1
Type: Microsoft VPN
It looks like I can close the second session without killing the VPN, it's only when I close the initiating session that the VPN drops, regardless of what other sessions are open.
Hi,
I have asked one of our dev to verify if the Tab groups are supported in the free edition. I have a doubt now. We will be back to you soon.

Were you able to confirm that this is enterprise only? Every other feature that's restricted to enterprise is noted as such in the application, and those fields are grayed out. If this feature is not available in the free edition, I would expect it to follow the same rules.
We are investigating a bug. It could explain your issue.

Hello,
We have been testing but were unable to reproduce the issue in either RDM Enterprise or RDM Free. Could you tell us what VPN type you are using? Is it Microsoft VPN? It might help us pinpoint the issue more easily.

Yes, this is a Microsoft VPN. I'm running Windows 7 Professional.
I have tested with another group that uses SonicWall NetExtender, and the group works as expected.
I think that RDM can't detect that Microsoft VPN was successfully opened. Can you confirm this? If the Microsoft VPN icon doesn't turn to a green "play" button in the RDM tree, then that would be the issue.
