I'm running RDM Enterprise 12.0.8.0
so i have about 300 entries in a handful of folders (i'm really unorganized), i was wondering if there was a way to check all of the entries to see which were still alive so i knew what to delete. also, would be nice if i could find duplicates (same hostname, different display names).

Question 1: We have a feature called Check Is Online that does just that;

Question 2: We have a Duplicate Entry report in Administration -> Report -> Duplicate Entries;

Updating my answer to your first question. In the reports, we also have an entry validity report that might be better than the Check Is Online Feature;

also, the Validity report takes a while when you have 300 entries. hahaha
