Magnified font problem

avatar

I recently upgraded to a Surface Book Pro at work. The resolution is so high that Windows defaults to zooming to 200% on that screen so things look normal size.

When I'm plugged into the dock with external monitors, though, those are set to 100% magnification. For some reason, Remote Desktop Manager displays the 200% zoomed font on the tabs, navigation window, and status bar. The menu is normal, but the rest of the UI is huge. This happens in RDM even if I set the magnification on the built-in screen to 100%, and I can't find any settings in RDM to control this. This is the only application I have that's doing this.

Here is an example:

Hi,
Could you verify this trouble shooting section?

Confirmed, but I've tried with that box checked and unchecked, and it happens either way.

Sorry, I missed the setting on the Start Menu shortcut. I've unchecked the box in both places and that fixed it.

I'm glad it works now.

I think I checked the box on the shortcut because I wanted it to ignore the magnification while on the inbuilt screen and appear at 100% while everything else in Windows showed 200%. But when viewing on external monitors at 100%, it appears that causes RDM to scale to 200% while Windows isn't. Seems like a rather odd behavior, but at least I understand it now. Thanks!
