Hi
I have got many ssh connection used Private key entry and Keepass entry. This is sample DB.
How can I change this entries on another commuter (user) who has got own private key and keepas credentials?
I heave tried private value in Keepas and Private Key but it doesn't work because this entry has another UUID.
I don't want to change SAMPLE DB.
Please tell me how can I do this.
Hello,
If one of your user want to use is own credentials to establish the connection, he would need to use the User Specific Settings to override the credentials of the session. For more information, please consult https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/edit_userspecificsettings.htm
This feature can be use with our Private Vault feature. The Private Vault allow to your user to save their own credentials or sessions in the database. Those connections are personal to them. You can consult https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/view_navigation_privatevault.htm for more details.

I do understand but I have another question.
I setup over 500 entries with keepas credentials and private key.
In xml it's writen for example PUTTY session:
<SSHGatewayCredentialConnectionID>6c0af950-1525-489f-85c7-e104011a0a51</SSHGatewayCredentialConnectionID>
<SSHGatewayCredentialSource>CredentialRepository</SSHGatewayCredentialSource>
And:
<PrivateKeyConnectionID>4ce05dc1-8ee0-405e-a628-cd7f198af2bc</PrivateKeyConnectionID>
If I setup Local specific settings for credentials ID will change and now how can I change all 500 PUTTY entries to use new ID?
When I set Local or User Specific Settings for keepass it works but When I change Private key entry Local Specific Settings it doesn't work I've got error:
Silent: Rebex.Net.SshException: No suitable authentication method is supported. Supported methods: 'publickey'.

I thing RDM don't update SSH Gateway (jump Host) in SSH Shell (Rabex) connection type. Please check it.
Hello,
For the User Specific Settings on multiple sessions, this can be enable on several sessions at the same time using our Batch Edit feature.
Select your sessions and go in Edit -> Batch Edit -> Edit Sessions (User Specific Settings).
For your error with SSH Shell (Rebex), I will try to reproduce in our environnment.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
I've just found option in batch edit but I thing its to complicate because I've got very extended Folders groups tree.
As I've written when I change Keepass credentials i see in profiler update on all sessions credentials when I overwrite credentials User specific settings.
But when I overwrite Private key it doesn't work.

Hello,
Quick question, does the User Specific Settings for the Private Key is enabled on the SSH Shell (Rebex) entry or on the Private Key entry?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
On the Private Key entry
Hello,
By enabling an User Specific Settings on the Private Key, I didn't encounter the same problem as you, but I was not able to establish the connection.
Could you try the following:
- Remove the User Specific Settings on the Private Key
- Right-click on your SSH Shell (Rebex) and select Edit -> Edit User Specific Settings
- Click on the Settings tab
- Enter the appropriate information to override the Private Key
Let me know how that works.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
If I change private key on connection it works but I have to change above 500 connections and bath edit is not possible because I've got extended folders tree. Besides why changing credentials works correctly?
Do you have any idea how can I change this key. I've tried different options on one connection and it works. But It has to work global when I change user specific settings. This bug can't allow me run application in production because nobody will change over 500 entries they have to change only two entries (credentials and private key).
Please tell me how can I work around. My time to deploy on production has just finished.
Hello,
Our engineering department will look at this and verify what can be done.

Thanks for update. I'm vary impatiens because I'm very close to finish my project :).
Hello,
I wanted to let you know I'm currently working on this, I'll get back to you when this is done.

Hubert Mireault
The feature has been done internally and we should have this out in the next build of RDM.
