Help with scaling on high DPI system

Disabled

I have read the earlier threads about this but I still have an issue.

- Surface Book
- RDM Free 3.0.3.0
- Display zoom set to 200% (recommended)

With 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' CHECKED:
- Connect to Server 2008 R2 - Very small
- Connect to Server 2012/2016 - Just right,

With 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' UNCHECKED:
- Connect to Server 2008 R2 - Much better
- Connect to Server 2012/2016 - Way too big

So for me either setting of the 'disable display scaling' leaves a set of systems that are difficult to manage.

Hi,
You are resuming well the problem but I don't have a solution.

With RDP 8.1 the local client can send the DPI information but this does not work with older Windows version. Have you tried to set a specific resolution with the Disable display scaling unchecked?

Dear David,

I'm having issues with this suddenly since the last update 12.0.2.0 using a 4K screen on a laptop.

The disable DPI scaling on high DPI option doesn't change anything for me. (hadn't even tried this before version 12.0.2.0)
I'm now having the issue on 2008 and 2012 servers.

The properties are still set the same as before:
$item.ScreenSize = "Default"
$item.RDP.ScreenSizingMode = "FitToWindow"

Playing with all the options from RDP and windows disable DPI Scaling doesn't change anything.

Kind regards

Dear David,

I must apologize, I wasn't aware you were talking about an RDM option; disable DPI scaling on high DPI. I was trying the Windows disable DPI scaling option on the RDM application.

Once I disabled the "disable DPI scaling" option inside RDM it seemed to work again.

Kind regards

No problem. I know it's very confusing. We use the same wording of Microsoft but honestly I'm not sure that I like it.
