Credential Entry Inherited to RDP via Folder

Credential Entry Inherited to RDP via Folder

Can a credential entry be applied to a folder and have the that entry be applied to the RDP sessions within as I have around 40 RDP entries in a workstations folder and would like to be able to apply specific credential entries to the workstations folder if possible w/o having to edit each rdp entry?

Hi,
I'm not sure to understand exactly but I think that you could use the refactoring to extract the credentials and assign it to the folder. Use the batch edit to make all the session inherit from the group.

David,

What I did to get the end result for linking the credential entry to my workstations was as follow:

(01) - Create an administrator credential Entry for the office site I'm working on.
(02) - Create a Template for the office site and add the admin credential entry to it.
(03) - Template can be used for future session additions for the office site workstations folder.
(04) - To update the already existing workstations for the office site I Highlighted the entries for a batch edit, Change saved credentials, & link to admin credential.

In doing the above steps I was able to apply the credential entry to all of my RDP sessions already created in my workstations folder. I don't quite understand the refactoring feature and will read up on that via the user guide but what made the above click was when you mentioned batch edit.

Thanks again David.
