Before 12.0.1.0 I was able to type a connection name and have it find that connection without using search. This appears to no longer work.
Hi,
Where were you typing the server name? Do you mean directly in the tree view?

Correct.
This is strange. I've just tested it and it seems to work fine for me. I've clicked on the root of the tree and type few chars. My results were highlighted.
What do you get. Could you post a print screen of your UI? Perhaps I will see a difference in your configuration.

Here is a screenshot. As you can see the root is highlighted. If I were to type "A", the selection would not move. If I click the root and type "A" within one second of my click, it will move to the entries that start with "A". If I wait two seconds, it will not move when I type "A".
I am just using the quotes to specify the letter, I am not actually typing them into the navigation pane.

I think that I will need a video. I will send you my email

Sorry. For security reasons, I can't send a video as it would contain server names.
No problem I understand. Could you try to create a local data source with some example and fake names?

I am currently testing this on other computers to see if they do the same thing.
False alarm. It appears to only do it on my main device.
I'll see if I can find out what's different or I'll try and do an uninstall and reinstall.
You can remove this post if you would like.
Hi Doug,
We are still investigating. Our QA might have a clue. He will post soon for a follow up.

Hi Doug,
I think I can reproduce your issue but only when I have a session opened. It seems to be caused when the Dashboard takes the focus.
Does it work well when you don't have any session opened?
As a work around, I would like to suggest you to disable the "Auto focus dashboard" option in "File >> Options >> User Interface >> Dashboard"
Best regards,
Jean-Philippe Charest
An uninstall and reinstall did not fix the issue.
I then exported and imported the setting from one of the working computers, closed and reopened the application, and the problem went away.
I did not have any sessions opened when I was testing.
