For your first request we will add an option for this soon, I'll post on this thread once this is done.

For the second one can you try unchecking the "close on disconnect or error" checkbox which is located in the "advanced" tab of your SSH entry? It should keep the entry open with the scrollback, if I'm not mistaken.

We will have an option in the advanced tab called "do not display error messages" which will do what you asked for. This will be available in the next beta of RDM 12.

As of RDM Mac 2023.1.12.0, the "Display error message" should now be available to the SSH Shell, SSH Tunnel and SSH Port Forward entries.
