Connection not showing as active when using "Check Is Online" tool with "Connect When Available"
Hi,
Small bug, but as I'm trying things out in the client I noticed the really helpful "Check Is Online" tool. The only problem is that when the tool is used the status of the connection is not properly updated in the navigation panel.
Thanks
Hello,
What version of RDM are you using?
What type of data source are you using?
Best regards,

Hi Mark,

Hello,
The Check Is Online Tool is offered as a background service;
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/index.html?background-services.htm
There is also a setting that has to be enabled in the session's properties directly;
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/index.html?tools_isonline.htm
There is a slight delay, when the server becomes unavailable, before the connection turns red.
Can you confirm that these options are enabled?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Hi Mark,
I'm not using the background service all I'm doing is clicking on the tool for the connection to test and reconnect me when the server comes back online from a reboot. When I use the tool and reconnect to the server the status of the connection never changes to show it being in a connected state.
Hello,
Would it be possible for you to make a short recording of that behavior? There's a tool in Help called record to help you.
You can send it to support@devolutions.net .
I just want to see if I'm missing something when the reconnect succeeds.
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour

Hi Mark,
No problem at all, it's not a critical issue, but I wanted to make sure I mentioned it.
