Hey everyone,
New to Remote Desktop Manager, used the free version for a while an then picked up a enterprise license after a week or so...But I have a minor issue.
I made a entry with VMware console, I tried it with my individual ESXi 6u2 servers as well as my vCenter virtual appliance (latest version) but when attempting to connect I receive the following error:
"The server returned an error" "System.Collections.Generic.List`1[System.String],"
I have vSphere client 6.0.0 installed as well as Mware vSphere PowerCLI 6.3 Release 1 build 3737840 + PowerShell v5.
Not really sure what more info I can provide, but hopefully I am just doing something wrong.
Hello,
What version of RDM are you running?
That is a bug that occurs when VMWare returns a list of errors instead of the one that I was expecting.
Maurice
It was a fresh install of the latest version on the enterprise webpage ; Version 11.7.6.0 | 137.3 MB | 10.13.16 found here http://remotedesktopmanager.com/Home/Download , it's also running on Windows server 2008 r2 x64 all updates
I also just tried it on my Windows 10 x64 system with the same vSphere and PowerCLI version installed with the same error.
Hello,
That error is coming from your PowerCLI version. Could you please install the PowerCLI version 5.8 and retest it please.
The download links for PowerCLI is https://www.vmware.com/support/developer/PowerCLI/index.html

That fixed it! Needed PowerCLI 5.8 to make it work.
Hello,
That’s good news! Thank you so much for your feedback!
If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
Best regards,
David Grandolfo
When are you planning to Support higher Versions of powercli as version 5.8?
Regards, Bernd
Hello Miramar,
We constantly work to improve our PowerCLI integration with RDM. I have tested PowerCLI version 6.3 with the Beta release of RDM 12 and it's working fine with VMWare ESXI 6.0.

David Grandolfo
