Inherit Username & Password but different AD domain name

Inherit Username & Password but different AD domain name

Hi,

I want to inherrit the username & password from the top folder but the machines in the sub folders have a different domain name.
How can i configure that the top leverl username & passwords are inherited but the DOMAIN\ is different per folder.

Hope that someone can help me with this.
We are new with the product and are implementing it for our company wide.

Hello,

There are multiple ways, but the principal one would be to use a FOLDER of the DOMAIN subtype as the container, there is a single field to define in there, the domain name. In the child entries, you would use the $DOMAIN_DOMAIN$ variable, it will resolve the the domain name contained in the folder above.

It looks like to work now when i change the folder from company to domain.

Hello,

It would work as well with a company, but by using the $COMPANY_DOMAIN$ variable.

the first part of the variable name indicates in which folder sub-type to look for the information. It climbs up the tree until if finds an entry of the matching type.

I've changed everything to domain now but i'm going to see what the posibilities are.
