Possible to permanently hide the bottom part of the main window (with the description)

I have RDM set to Classic UI, then there is no option in the view menu for the footer pane.

So, I switched no ribbon and disabled footer pane.

However, when I go back to Classic UI, the footer pane is back again...

If you click on this button depicted below when in Classic UI, it should minimize the footer pane. Is that the case for you?

Yes it does, however, if I switch between session, or even after session close, it would be maximized again.
