Is there any particular reason the custom fields wouldn't work for your use case? They are available from the entry's information tab, in the custom fields tab. They are text fields and some of them can be password protected if you need it. You can also change their label.

Yes. They don't show up when you click on the credential. Then you have to see it in the Information box.
We would want to see it in the dashboard of a credential.

We'll add an "overview" tab to the dashboard of the credentials as well as a "mnemonic password" field in the "username/password" type of credential.
