Can I restrict a session only to certain people?

Howdy,

I know I can restrict sessions via Security Groups but we have 1 specific session that we only want 3 specific people to be able to see. Is there any way to assigned rights to a certain session on a per person basis or do we have to setup a whole security group/roles/etc just for this one session and add just those couple people to it?

Hi,
In RDM 12 we will support Role based security. It should simplify. We will also add soon the possibility to specify a user also instead of a role. The main advantage is that you can specify multiple roles or users instead of 1 security group.

Is there any sort of ETA on that new version?

And just to clarify, for now, I would have to make a new Security Group and only add these 3 people to it and then assign the specific RDM session to that group. right?

We hope to release a beta by the end of the September. We are near feature complete. For now your only workaround is the security group indeed.
