Hi guys, pretty obscure problem here but hopefully I can get some hints for a possible fix to this...
I run RDM (v8.0.12.0) on Windows 7 inside a Parallels Desktop virtual machine on a 13" Macbook Pro with Retina Display. (take a breath ;))
I've been successfully doing that on a desktop (Mac Pro) for a while now but I've got a little quirk on the Macbook. When I'm in an embedded remote desktop connection, a section (that seems equivalent to the size of the navigation pane) is unavailable. By that I mean that I can see whatever is happening, but I can't interact with it. Putting the cursor over an element that usually brings a tooltip, clicking or right-clicking, nothing happens.
If I hide the navigation pane and reconnect, the "left part problem" is fixed but now I have a similar problem across the top of the connection window. Is it the equivalent of the top RDM toolbar? Not sure...
If I simply disable the embedding and use fullscreen, everything is fine.
I understand this is a really complicated matter and that it can be a number of different things but maybe the devs could have a little genius idea?
Thanks!
Hi,
Could you do a quick test? Try to use the Classic UI mode. You can choose if in File->Option.
Let me know if this make a difference.

Merci David, that seems to have fixed it. Although I had to logoff and back in as only disconnect/reconnect didn't do anything.
It's a shame cause I really like the new UI but hey, at least I have a working solution! Thanks again!
PS: Can't wait for the OS X port ;)
We will update the thirdparty soon. Perhaps this will resolve the issue.

I have this same problem. I run Windows 7 on Parallels 8 on a 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display. If I run the Best for Retina settings, it scales Windows fonts to 199% DPI and looks great. The resolution in the virtual machine is running at 2880 x 1800. If I launch the native RDP client in Windows 7 then the window is very small and hard to see. I downloaded your app and was hoping to buy it to get around that problem. My issue is that if I setup a RDP session in RDM and set it to embed the window and connect to the session. I can't click on part of the RDP window. If I left or right click in the middle of the window, that works but if I try to click something at the left side of the window or at the top, then it doesn't response to a click. Note that this does not happen if I set my virtual machine to run in scaled mode with a resolution of 1440 x 900. I noticed the suggestion to switch to classic mode UI which i did by going to File>Options changing the User Interface to Classic UI (7.x) but this doesn't fix the issue. I also tried Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection Manager app and see the same problem with it. I run Outlook and an old Lotus Notes app (not my choice) in the same VM and I do not experience the issue with those apps or any other apps.
