$PASSWORD$ Limited to certain entry types
Why is it that this variable is limited in entry types? What makes it so insecure that it can be used for the command line entry but not a web browser one?
I want each user to have a typing macro that types their user specific password. When you use the macro it just types $PASSWORD$. This is even after checking the box in the security tab to allow it.

Hello,
Could you go in Administration -> Data Source Setting -> Password Policy and check the Allow password in macro option.
With this option checked, you should be able to send the password via a typing macro, of course, with the Allow password in variable option checked in the session properties.
