I need to set 2FA for my datasource on every start of the application.

After updating RDM to the latest release on every startup RDM warns me that I need to configure 2FA in order to access my datasource. When I edit my datasource (SQL Server) and set RDM to Google Authenticator and add the account to my authenticator-app, it all seems to work fine again.
Until I restart RDM. It gives the same warning and the settings for 2FA seem to have vanished and I have to set everything all over again...

RDM save is configuration (like the data source configuration) in a file name RemoteDesktopManager.cfg. By default, this file is located in %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager.
Could you verify if you have access to write in that folder.

I can confirm I have write access to the .cfg as well as the directory it resides in. I can also confirm that, when I add the 2FA configuration to my data source through RDM the cfg file gets timestamped and a .bak is created. However there are no noticable changes in the file.
Unfortunately I cannot trace back which version was installed before upgrading. We usually do not skip any new releases so it probably was the last version before the latest release.
Also, please note that I did try a repair installation. That did not fix the issue.

I found the issue. It will be resolved in the next release.
It doesn't work at the moment because there is an issue with the saving of the 2FA information. So on restart of the application the 2FA information is missing and the logic to check the 2FA is skipped altogether.
Once the fix is out, you will need to reconfigure the 2FA once again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Good to hear you were able to repro the issue.
We use RDM on a daily basis, and the app gets closed and reopened all the time, so the way it works now by configuring all over again at every use is quite a nuisance.
Can you perhaps give an ETA on the fix?

The issue is fixed internally.
Unfortunately it will take a few days to get a new release.
Giving you a definite ETA is difficult but I would expect it available early next week.
