I found the help topic below about how to launch sessions from the command line and using local templates I have that working correctly. My problem is that when it launches the connection the window is small instead of maximized. Also, if I had already had RDM running when I launch a connection via command line the window shrinks despite having previously been maximized. Is there any way to force RDM to open maximized all the time either from the command line or from within RDM itself?

I tried going to Options>>Startup window state>>Maximized but that had no effect. Every time I launch RDM from the command line the window opens small.
I will verify what happen when its used in command line

Oh and I am running the latest version of RDM.
Hi
Can you confirm what is the type of the connection in your template? Even better could you send the template to us?
Are you using the Default (Ribbon) UI?
Thanks
Maurice
I think that the attached file contains the template. It ought to be a standard Microsoft RD connection. I am using the command line to launch RDM because I have a different computer managment and inventory system that I can provide a command line link to and it will supply the IP.
Yes I am using the Default (Ribbon) UI (Side note, can I change back to the old UI?)

Maybe this is what you were really after.

Oh and I discovered how to reset the UI. I tested the command line and it behaves the same way (shrunken window) in all three UI choices.
Hi
I used your config file to duplicate your setup and imported you template in my own installation, I still cannot reproduce the issue. Even with "startup window state" parameter set to "Last Saved" it works.
As a side note, you dont need the $QUICK_CONNECT$, its replaced with the Host name that you are sending via the command line.
When you say that you are running the latest version, what version would that be?
