Windows 2012 R2 Rendering Issue in 3.5.3.0
When connecting to a Windows Server 2012 R2 (and it doesn't matter which one, it happens with our owns servers as well as servers at several client sites), the rendering is not happening when typing on the keyboard.
To illustrate an example:
Open Calculator (Cmd-R > calc > OK) and type in 32 * 0.8 and hit enter. If you are lucky, you might see a "3" or "32" rendering. In my case, it stays at "0" - until I move the window (drag the title bar to a different location), then it redraws and shows "25.6".
Even worse: Open a CMD prompt (Cmd-R > cmd > OK) and type away. It's pretty much impossible to work with.
This was not an issue in 3.5.2.0, only started happening in 3.5.3.0.
I tried turning on the "Support Automatic Graphics Switching", but to not avail.

Hi Jesper,
The issue is caused by the new codec level setting we added to improve video performances. Unfortunately, it's not working properly for some of our users.
The workaround is to reset the codec level to 6. There are 2 ways to do that:
-In the Session type tab of the Preferences
-In the Advanced tab of a RDP session
We are currently investigating the issue.

This didn't help me at all. The performance is so much worse that it have ever been. Delay on screen refresh, bad screen performance ect.
What should i do ?
Michael, this is not about speed, this is only about it redrawing. Benoit has previously been a great help in troubleshooting performance issues together with me.
I would suggest looking at latency (where are you/where are the servers/what internet connection do you have in between/number of routers in the path/type of VPN client.)
For example I had horrible performance issues using the Dell/SonicWALL client, but when I setup Lobotomo IPSecuritas, those problems disappeared. In another situation, OpenGL was the culprit and now that's turned off.
When I used a T-Mobile hotspot in one situation, the speed was better than AT&T, in another situation it was the other way around.
I'm running on LAN 1gbps :-(

We found the rendering issue and fixed it internally the version should be available shortly. I'll notify you here when it's available.
Is the performance problem recent?
If you try the same settings put with Microsoft Remote Desktop do you have the same performance issue?
