I have version 11.5.1.0
Smart sizing enabled or disabled.
If I open the embedded RDP session and then switch to full screen, the desktop does not adjust itself so I get a black area around the sides.
If I open the RDP session, disconnect and then reconnect using the full screen parameter, then the desktop adjusts accordingly
I used to use RemoteNG and when already connected, resizing worked fine when I would switch the session to full screeen.
Any ideas as to why the desktop does not adjust?
Hi,
Could you send me a small video of RemoteNG? Smart sizing only scale the image and does not change the resolution. I want to verify what king of adjustment is made. Just be sure to try on both software the same remote host because some OS does not behave the same way.

I have attached first embedded and then full screen. All I had to do was right click the servers' tab and select full screen.
When I escape out of full screen mode, the server returns to the original resolution
The resolution settings in the embedded is 1664 x 983 and full screen is 1920 x 1080

Hi,
Could you try to set the Remote Desktop Size to Current Screen Size in RDM?

Hi
That sets the resolution of the embedded version to the full screen resolution ie 1920 x 1080 so everything is a little "squished"
ok... found it...
set the display screen sizing mode to "Auto scale resolution"
That works 100%
You can keep your previous setting and set this File->Options instead:
Use Smart Reconnect Fullscreen
