Is there a limit # of shortcuts for a session?

There is no limit but you don't really need to create a shortcut. You can simply link it to the same.

Let me restate, there is a limit, because after a certain number of shortcuts or characters in the group/folder field they no longer display in RDM.

What do you mean by link it to the same? I don't see anything in the menus about a link vs a shortcut.

Because of the number of sessions that I have to manage there is no way to have only one view of this particular VPN session (and others like it that are used in many places). I will have hundreds of sessions that need to use tens of VPNs.

By "link it to the same", he meant that in the session configuration, you can go in the VPN tab to specify to use an existing VPN definition when opening the session.




As for the limit you describe, I will investigate.

That makes sense. This could be used instead of setting up the Cisco VPN in each RDP or Web session.

I just figured out another element that makes this work in my environment. I am using Connect if unable to ping and Confirm disconnect in the VPN tab to ensure I don't get an error pop-up if the VPN session is already open.

There is definitely a learning curve when looking at the power of RDM and figuring out how to make it work for us.

I see what you mean with the limit now. It's limited to 400 chars but you could update to database to increase the size.
