We have installed Remote Desktop Manager on a shared network location.
We all (3 users) are using a shortcut to this installation.
With version 7 we had no problems working this way.
Since the upgrade to version 8 we now have to register every day.
When I just reboot I don't have to register but the next day I do.
Is this setup no longer supported?
Product: Remote Desktop Manager
License information: Standard Edition
Version: 8.0.12.0
Client system: Windows 7 pro

Hi
Did you upgrade over the previous version using the installer?
Maurice
Hi Maurice,
I've got a new laptop so I did a "new" installation specifying the network folder (containing the previous setup) as install location. I could try renaming the old install directory, perform a new installatie and copy the data file?

Hi
Could you send me your remotedesktopmanager.cfg file at mcote [ at ] devolutions [ dot ] net. Its in the program folder.
Maurice
Hi
Sorry, but I missed noticing that you were using the standard edition. Network share installs are not supported for that edition.
Maurice
Hi Maurice,
Regardless of getting support or not, should the network configuration setup work with Standard Edition?
Maurits
Hi,
Installing RDM locally should resolve the issue. You could also try to change the configuration file location:
