Tab Page Category Not Working
Hi all
I have over 300 SSH sessions set up for a variety of servers, and I have previously used the 'Tab page category' feature to group them. Since upgrading to v8.0.12.0 (standard edition), this feature has not worked.
Each session still has the tab page category option, they are all populated with the previous, relevant value, and the same option (Show in trayicon) is ticked beneath. I have tried most of these sessions over the past few weeks, but none are grouped. I have tried creating new sessions and adding a tab group, and setting the group colour on existing sessions, which only seems to colour the outline of the session tab and puts a colour line around the actual session console.
Has anyone else got this problem? Is there some magic I can perform to get tabs working again? Unfortunately, when I need to have approximately 20 tabs open to monitor a group of server logs for an environment, this issue is making RDM unusable.

Thats weird, I re-did all the screen shots for the help with the release of v8 and it worked. What version were you on previously?
Are you using the new ribbon UI or you reverted to a previous UI?
Is the tab groups pane docked or floating?

I'm using the default ribbon UI, but have just tried the default (menu) and the same thing happened. However, I then tried the classic ui (v7.x) and my tabs are back. Switching back to default ribbon, the tabs do not appear again.
My previous version was 8.0.8.0.
Just to clarify, should the tabs work in the same way as before? I don't use the Tab Groups pane (similar to navigation pan) as this the amount of space for the putty session by quite a lot, instead I use the session tabbed header being grouped by the tab page category.

The tabbed opened connection is not available in the the Ribbon UI. This is the only feature that we lost during the migration to ribbon. The new thrird party we use now does not support this type of UI.
What we did and Maurice was explaining is a new panel with the list of session. You can filter the visible opened tab. I promise that as soon as I can find a solution to improve this, we will do it.

So for now the work around is to keep the Classic UI

Thanks for the update David. I'll use the classic UI for now, that's no problem at all. It would be good to get it working in future though, the new panel with sessions on takes up a bit too much of the UI for it to be useful.
