Whenever I close or exit out of remote session, the navigation tree jumps back to last or previous session that was opened or worked on. This behavior can get very annoying. I have a very large server list in many different groups. so when I close a session at one of the groups that happens to be on the bottom of the tree, the navigation may jump to the open session at the top of the tree. I now have to scroll back down again to open another session at the bottom group. This is also frustrating when you're rebooting a server and while waiting for it to come back up, I click on the session link and if it fails, the navigation jump away again.
It would be great if this could be controlled via an option perhaps? jump back to last active session yes/no? if no it would mean the navigation stays on the last clicked session whether it is active or not.
Thanks

Hi,
RDM focus the tree view item of the selected tab page. We already plan to add an option to disable this in the next minor update.
Thank you

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Hi,
This is now in the beta
David Hervieux
Just installed 8.0.17 and the jumping behavior is still there. Is there an setting that needs to be checked/unchecked?
Never mind! found the setting, "Auto Select item on tab focus". Have it unchecked now and it works!
Thank you
Exactly. This is a setting now
David Hervieux
Thanks David.
One more question.....
Now this behavior is great from the tree point of view, but not so much from the tab point of view. Now that I am actually using this, I am hoping you can tweak it one more time.
Perhaps as another setting. Instead of "Auto select item on tab FOCUS", can you change it to "Auto select item on tab SELECT". This way when a new tab is auto focused, when another is closed, the tree selection remains as is, no jumping. But when the user actually clicks on the Tab, then you can go ahead and auto select the corresponding item on the tree?
Thanks a million.

Hi,
I will verify if I can make the distinction. I'm not sure if I can react on the click event for the tab. Thank you
