Network Level Authentication Bug in embedded/undocked rdp session Windows 10 Build 14316
When trying to rdp to server - " An authentication error has occurred (Code: 0x80004005) Remote Computer: 192.xxx.xx.xxx
When I remove the embedded setting for the servers using NLA, you can login no issues (probably because it just goes directly to rdp)
I have the same problem with Remote Desktop Manager version : 11.1.11.0 windows build 14316
swithcing off NLM does allow me to login.
I have the same issue mentioned above and additionally this one:
[Window Title]
Remote Desktop Connection
[Content]
An authentication error has occured.
The Local Security Authority cannot be contacted
Remote computer: ip.ad.dr.ess
This could be due to an expired password.
Please update your password if it has expired.
For assistance, contact your administrator or technical support.

Hello,
As of now, the solution is to disable NLA in your RDP configuration.
There's a regression with an inbox DLL in Microsoft Windows 10 build 14316. They should have a fix in the builds coming soon.

Jeff Dagenais
Well this is a major bummer... I wonder why mstsc.exe still works?
Hello,
For your information, the bug is with Microsoft Windows 10 build 14316 and 14318 and the bug is in Windows 10, not RDM.
This has been confirmed by an employee of Microsoft.
Microsoft will fix this in their next builds.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
I tried the fix and still wasn't able to view in embedded (tabbed) mode. Is there a way in rdm to change all entries to external instead of doing them 1-by-1?
Also I think I found were the setting will be updated :)
Settings -> Update and Security -> For Developers -> Remote Desktop Settings - false this is for my local machine :(
Hello,
This is possible via our batch edit feature

Hello,
batch file edit feature solves the issue just for stored/permanent entries. Nevertheless is there a way how to have NLA functionality disabled even for Quick Connect option?
Thanks and regards,
Stanislav
Hello,
You can create a template without this option checked and use this template in the Quick Connect toolbar
