I installed Remote Desktop Manager Free on my Windows 10 and I created a session to connect to Hyper-V virtual machine which is on Windows 2012 R2 host. At first connect, it asked me for a path to vmconnect.exe file on my local computer so I install Hyper-V featured. After the system restart, I pointed to c:\windows\system32 directory, everytime I try to connect to the virtual machine, I get this error, "An error occurred trying to find the virtual machine xxxxx on the computer zzzzzzz. This version of Virtual Machine Connection cannot be used to manage server running Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012 R2 and earlier versions. I assume that I might have picked the wrong directory to vmconnect.exe file, I want to change it but I can't find the option to do so. If my assumption was wrong, would you please give me some advise. I appreciate it.

Hi,
You can change the path of vmconnect.exe in File->Options | Path

And click on the button Configure Installation Path

However I suspect that might need to use RDM 64bit to be able to find vmconnect in C:Windows\System32

The free edition only support 32bit. RDM Enterprise has the 64 bit edition but you should be able to use RDM Free to connect directly to your machine without vmconnect. Just create an RDP connection with hyper-v instead:
