RDM crashes on start up

When I start rdm 8.0.0.12.0 I first see the splash screen of rdm and after that I get this error:

I suspect it's a .NET issue, but I can't find any solution.

When I rename machine.config in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG I get this error:

When I copy machine.config.default to machine.config, I get this error:

I re-installed all versions of .NET and did a clean install of Remote Desktop Manager.
Nothing worked.

Any suggestions?
