Hi,
I am using a Windows 10 machine running RDM enterprise. I have a RDP session open to my Windows 10 workstation and an ARD session open to my Macbook Pro. I am having a lot of issues getting copy/paste of text across these machines. Is that something that is not supposed to work or am I doing something wrong?
Would really appreciate it if I can get some best practices on configuring RDM for such a scenario. Previously, I have only used RDM for multiple RDP sessions and never encountered any such issues with copy/paste.
Thank you guys.
Hello,
Have you installed the latest RDM beta? We did a lot of improvement related to this. Jonathan will be able to help you if you still have issues.

Holy crap. Thanks for the quick response .. :) Was honestly not expecting something this quick.
I will go ahead and try RDM beta. I see 11.1.9.0 as the Beta version on the website. Is that the correct one to grab? Also, is that something I should install alongside the current version? Or separately.
Also, I know I have said it already but that was an amazingly quick response. Makes me all the more glad that I subscribed to you guys last year. Will definitely be renewing this year as well .. :)
Thanks.
Hello,
Yes, RDM 11.1.9.0 is the latest Beta.
Best regards,

Hi,
I've tested your use case and was able to make it work.
We do not yet support ARD automatic clipboard sync so the steps are little bit more complicated than just copying and pasting between the two sessions.
Steps for the 2 use cases.
Copy from RDP and pasting to ARD :
- Select and copy text in the RDP session normally (ctrl-c, edit/copy)
- In the ARD session, click the Paste icon in the toolbar.
- In the ARD session, paste normally (cmd-v, edit/paste)
Copy from ARD and pasting to RDP
- Select and copy text in the ARD session normally (cmd-c, edit/copy)
- In the ARD session, click the Copy icon in the toolbar.
- In the RDP session, paste normally (ctrl-v, edit/paste)
If you are still experiencing the issue using these steps, let me know.

Thanks guys. After installing the beta version of RDM and using the steps provided in Jonathan's last post I am able to perform text copy/paste operations fairly reliably between the two machines connected using ARD and RDP.
Thanks again.
